NIGC investigating Nooksack Tribe's casino

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 12, 2003 The National Indian Gaming Commission is looking into allegations of mismanagement at the Nooksack Tribe's casino in Washington. A regional NIGC official wrote a February 28 letter that details several complaints, The Bellingham Herald reported. They include: questionable loan arrangements, cash bonuses to casino officials, gambling by tribal gaming commissioners and tribal officials and the disbanding of the tribal gaming commission.
