The New Mexico House unanimously approved a bill to rename a highway in honor of a Navajo Code Talker who serves in the state Senate.

The bill changes U.S. 666 to Yah-Tay-Hey in honor of John Pinto. It was introduced by a lawmaker who also wants the highway renumbered because he says it is associated with death. It is nicknamed Devil's Highway due to the high number of fatalities and accidents on the road.
