TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 25, 2003

The lead prosecutor of a man accused of raping and murdering an Alaska Native woman has dropped out of the case due to a health problem, The Anchorage Daily News reports.

The development is just one of the many in the trial of Joshua Wade. Witnesses for the prosecutor have been sketchy and combative on the stand, offering what are characterized as conflicting accounts of the accused killer's guilt.

Wade is charged with murdering Della Brown, whose body was found in early September 2000.
