The Absentee Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma has provided nearly $100,000 to four school districts to pay for four teacher positions that would otherwise be cut.

The tribe's "Save the Teacher" program is funded entirely by its casino. In addition to four teacher salaries, the tribe is donating $169,400 to 11 school districts.
