Calif. tribe once terminated seeks land base

The Upper Lake Band of Pomo Indians of California was in federal court on Wednesday to try and obtain a land base.

The tribe's original rancheria was lost after the federal government terminated its status. A court restored recognition in 1983 but the tribe says it is owed a land base.
