Alaska Native corporation rebounds from loss

MONDAY, FEBRUARY 17, 2003 After two years of losses, Sealaska, an Alaska Native regional corporation, will show a profit for 2002, The Alaska Journal of Commerce reports. The corporation lost money on almost every single one of its ventures. After closing down two electronics operations and some reorganization, the corporation sees promise in new areas, including a veneer plant, a casino resort in California and a Microsoft-related project.
