Ute Tribe in Colo. buys oil company

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 2003 The Southern Ute Tribe of Colorado has purchased an oil and gas company for $123.4 million. The Hawaiian-based firm will be made a subsidiary of the tribe's energy exploration company, Red Willow, whose current worth is estimated at $325 million. The acquisition of the firm is expecting to increase the tribe's natural gas holdings. Get the Story:
