Old Army site would be transferred to state
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 6, 2003

The General Services Administration is seeking public comment on plans to transfer an old Army site to the state of Kansas.

The Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma claims the 9,065-acre Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant. The tribe says its ancestors lived there before being removed to Oklahoma.
