White House threatens veto on spending bill

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 6, 2003

The White House told lawmakers it will veto the omnibus spending bill still being considered by both chambers of Congress.

The House passed another continuing resolution, which keeps the federal agencies funded at 2002 levels. Along with the Senate, lawmakers hope to resolve the 2003 budget by February 20.
