Report: Ho-Chunk casino proposed in Ill.

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 22, 2003 The Ho-Chunk Nation of Wisconsin wants to build a casino in Illinois, The Chicago Daily Herald reports. The tribe is finalizing a deal to buy 125 acres of land in suburban Chicago, the paper said. The area is traditional Ho-Chunk land, according to a tribal attorney. The tribe operates four gaming facilities in Wisconsin. Get the Story:
