Conn. tribe to hold ceremony for downed bird

FRIDAY, JANUARY 17, 2003 The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut will hold a burial ceremony for a red-tail hawk that was recently killed at an airport. The bird died as a plane was taking off at the Providence, Rhode Island, airport. Workers called the Pequot Tribe, which agreed to hold a special ceremony. Get the Story:
