Zuni Tribe to take part in forest thinning

THURSDAY, JANUARY 16, 2003 The Zuni Tribe will take part in a Department of Interior forest-thinning project, The Arizona Republic reports. The goal of the pilot is to prevent the spread of catastrophic wildfires and gauge the impacts of thinning on the environment. The Zuni Reservation is one of five test sites throughout the West.
