More talks planned over jurisdictional tangles

Tribal, state and federal officials in Nebraska are planning more meetings to address jurisdictional questions affecting Indian Country.

An initial meeting was held Tuesday with representatives of the Omaha, Santee and Winnebago tribes in attendance. The goal is help define law enforcement responsibilities on reservations. Depending on the circumstances, there can be tribal, state and federal involvement.
