N.M. tribe sued over casino game machines

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 15, 2003 A casino game company is suing the Mescalero Apache Tribe of New Mexico for the return of casino game machines and for money damages. Gaim-Ko Inc. says it leased slot machines to the tribe but the tribe hasn't paid since November 1998, when the tribe began doing business with a new company. The suit alleges the tribe won't return the equipment. According to The Ruidoso News, Gaim-Ko received a lease fee plus an amount of the slot machine take at the tribe's casino, which is undergoing renovations. Get the Story:
