Alaska Natives part of alcohol abuse study

Alaska Natives are taking part in a clinical study to determine if prescription drugs can combat alcohol abuse.

The study is being undertaken by Yale University's School of Medicine. Through the Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium, the Alaska Native subjects will take Naltrexone, an anti-alcohol craving drug, and Zoloft, an anti-depressant.
