Wis. county rejects agreement with tribe

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 20, 2002 The Shawano County Board on Wednesday voted against a government-to-government agreement with the Stockbridge-Munsee Band of Mohicans. Under the agreement, the tribe would pay $100,000 for a new road construction. In exchange, the county would drop its objections to the tribe's land-into-trust applications. Get the Story:
