Doctors told Wauneta Lone Wolf, a member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe of South Dakota, that she wasn't going to live very long after being diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer in January 2001.

But Lone Wolf is still here. And she credits her Lakota tradition with keeping her alive.

Lone Wolf battled her cancer with Western and Lakota methods. Her story of faith and balance is the subject of a video that is being used a teaching tool.
