Wyo. residents opposing racist church

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 12, 2002 Residents of a Wyoming city located near the Wind River Reservation are reacting negatively to a racist church that is relocating to their community. The Riverton Chamber of Commerce, mayor-elect John Vincent and others said the World Church of the Creator won't be welcome in Riverton. Riverton was carved out of land that was part of the reservation. The reservation is home to the Eastern Shoshone and Northern Arapaho tribes. Get the Story:
