MONDAY, DECEMBER 9, 2002 The Seminole Nation is developing an Indian-owned restricted allotment in Oklahoma City. The land itself measures about 150 feet by 50 feet. But the tribe's economic development authority is purchasing nearby property as part a plan to open a smoke shop, a tribal office and potentially a gaming facility. The tribe is paying $72,000 a year to lease the land from Choctaw Nation individual Indian beneficiaries. The property was the subject of a series of Indianz.Com articles. Get the Story:
