TUESDAY, DECEMBER 3, 2002

Beset with alcoholism, drug problems, sexual abuse, low-achieving youth and lack of basic infrastructure, the Innu First Nation at Davis Inlet, Labrador, is preparing to move to an entirely new location.

The goverment-financed move comes at a cost of $100 million. Residents say it ill help the community shed its many problems.

About 600 people will move starting December 14. Not all the homes are ready yet.
