TUESDAY, DECEMBER 3, 2002

The Supreme Court on Monday agreed to review a law school's affirmative action policy.

Three white students sued the University of Michigan after being denied admission. They contend lower-qualified minorities were given the spots in violation of the U.S. Constitution.

The Court last visited the issue in 1978 when it upheld the use of race in college admissions but struck down racial quotas.
