The Senate wrapped up its work for the year on Wednesday as the 107th Congress heads to an end when the House closes tomorrow.

The session was characterized by Democrats as one of missed opportunities. Outgoing Majority Leader Tom Daschle (D-S.D.) blamed Republicans for obstructionism.

Republicans also expressed frustration with the year and pointed the finger at Democrats. About the only thing both parties could agree on was that the worked together to fight terrorism.
