The Supreme Court on Monday declined to review an attempt to unseat a Bush appointee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights.

The move allows Peter Kirsanow, a conservative African-American lawyer, to stay on the review panel. He was opposed by commission chairwoman Mary Frances Berry and other Democrat-leaning members.
