S.D. panel looks at Indian inmates

The South Dakota Legislature's State-Tribal Relations Committee is meeting this week to address Native American inmate issues.

The meeting will also include a report on state-funded research that has found a disparate justice system. Native Americans are jailed more often than any other ethnic group, a preliminary report has found.
