First Native food summit set

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2002 The First Nations Development Institute is holding the first-ever Native Food Summit this month. The November 15-17 gathering will be held in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It will focus on trying to revive traditional Native diets and improve access to food. A return to traditional foods is seen as helping prevent diabetes, health disease and other ailments that were almost unheard of until the early 1900s. Get the Story:
