Tex. tribe refuses job to alleged crook

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2002 A rival faction of the Kickapoo Tribe of Texas denied employment to an oil executive accused of embezzling funds in his native Mexico, according to news accounts. Carlos Juaristi Septien's employment at the tribe's casino was supported by Raul Garza, the tribe's recognized chairman. The newly elected rivals denied Septien's application, citing his alleged theft of funds. Get the Story:
