THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2002 "I empathize with Sam Libby who speaks of the exclusivity that exists within the Pequot Nation in his letter, “Tribal exclusivity due to plain greed,” Oct. 28. This same exclusivity exists at the Mohegan Tribe of Indians of Connecticut (MTIC) that operates the Mohegan Sun Casino, a family-owned enterprise. This exclusivity is also a result of the greed and power mongering of those who make up MTIC's Tribal Government. I firmly believe that there are MTIC tribal members who see the injustice of refusing to accept Mohegan descendants into the roll of MTIC. It is an embarrassment to all MTIC tribal members that there is such prejudice perpetrated against their cousins. . ." Get the Story:
