Tulalip man wins statehouse run

John McCoy, a member of the Tulalip Tribes of Washington, won his run for the state House on Tuesday.

McCoy, a Democrat, defeated Republican Erv Hoglund, The Seattle Post-Intelligencer reported. He is the fourth Native American in state history to serve in the Legislature.
