Native corp executive steps down

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 2002 The chairman of an Alaska Native regional corporation has left her post, The Anchorage Daily News reports. In a resignation letter, Sue Taylor said she was "sickened" by the direction new chief executive officer Ken Johns is taking Ahtna Inc. Her husband and fellow board member, Paul Tony, also resigned. Ahtna Inc. fired its CEO in February 2001 amid allegations of financial mismanagement. The corporation $10 million in 2000 and $5.5 million last year. Get the Story:
