Mont. Indian candidates spammed

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 2002 Two candidates for the Montana Legislature, who also happen to be tribal members, were mentioned in a campaign mailing by an Indian organization that apparently does not exist. The "Indian Sovereignty Rights Coalition" promoted Democratic incumbent Rep. Joey Jayne and Republican Josh King as champions of tribal sovereignty. It did not mention the third party candidate, Rick Jore, who said he was not involved. Get the Story:
