WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 30, 2002

The election board of the Oglala Lakota Tribe of South Dakota has to decide by today whether to hold an entirely new primary, The Rapid City Journal reported.

The primary results for two council races are being disputed. But the board says it can't assure the validity of a recount.

If a new primary is held, it could throw off the November 5 general election.
