Guilty plea in Red Lake murder case

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 23, 2002

A 17-year-old Minnesota resident pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for a death on the Red Lake Ojibwe Reservation.

Anthony R. Smith said he is a member of the Native Mob gang. He is one of three indicted for the death of Ronald W. Long Jr.

The two others are set to go to trial next week in federal court.
