Nineteen members of the Southern Ute Tribe of Colorado are vying for four seats on the tribal council.

Five are seeking the chairman's post. Leonard Burch is not running again. He was convicted on tribal charges of drunk driving.

Fourteen are running for the three other seats. The election will be held October 1.
