Nothing has come out of nine months of talks about trust reform with tribal leaders, a Department of Interior official said.

Spokesperson Dan DuBray told The Lincoln Journal Star that the Bush administration was "concerned" about the apparent lack of progress. Some tribal leaders, however, feel the blame is misplaced.

Nonetheless, the Bureau of Indian Affairs will hold the final consultation on trust fund mismanagement in Billings, Montana, on Wednesday. Assistant Secretary Neal McCaleb will attend.
