Alaska Native art campaign a success
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 9, 2002 Federal agencies and the state of Alaska are investigating reports of fake Alaska Native art, thanks to a recent public relations campaign by the Federal Trade Commission. The FTC distributed fliers to warn consumers of fake arts. An official said several cases are pending. Still, some Native artists don't participate in efforts to ensure authenticity. Get the Story:
