Native wireless venture gets day in court

Three Alaska Native corporations will argue today to preserve their billion-dollar investment in wireless technology.

With partner AT&T, Arctic Slope Regional Corporation, Doyon Ltd., and Sealaska Corporation bought $2.9 billion in licenses in an Federal Communications Commission auction. They want the Supreme Court to reverse a decision that awarded the licenses back to a bankrupt company.

The FCC and the corporations are arguing their side of the case together.
