'Honkies' exhibit draws attention at school
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2002

A University of North Dakota student group has set up an exhibit to draw attention to the use of Indian as mascots, logos and symbols.

BRIDGES (Building Roads Into Diverse Groups Empowering Students) has a display of sports jerseys, some real and some not so real. The latter include paraphernalia for the "Cleveland Honkies" and the "Wounded Knee Crusaders."
