GOPs want Torricelli on N.J. ballot

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2002 Attorneys for the Republican Party asked the Supreme Court on Thursday to intervene in New Jersey's senate race. The GOPs want the nine Justices to reverse a state court ruling which said the ballots can be changed to include a new Democratic candidate. Frank R. Lautenberg replaced Sen. Robert G. Torricelli, who dropped out on Monday amid questions over his ethical behavior. The GOP candidate is Doug Forrester. Get the Story:
