Minnesota's candidates for governor disagree about the storage of nuclear waste in their state.

The issue affects the Prairie Island Indian Community. A storage facility is located next to the tribe's reservation.

DFLer Roger Moe and the Green Party's Ken Pentel oppose additional storage there. Republican Tim Pawlenty and the Independence Party's Tim Penny would support more waste provided it was a temporary solution.

The tribe wants the waste moved to Yucca Mountain in Nevada, a federal facility, or to a repository under consideration on the Skull Valley Goshute Reservation in Utah.
