Drilling allowed in Colo. monument

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 2002 The Department of Interior and environmentalists have reached an agreement that allows drilling in a Colorado monument to move forward. The Canyons of the Ancients National Monument contains historic Puebloan buildings, rock art and artifacts. To protect these resources, biologists will monitor an exploratory development project in the 164,000-acre monument. Get the Story:
