Mayan hieroglyphs rewrite history

Archaeologists are being forced to reconsider their prior views of Mayan history with the discovery of one of the largest sets of hieroglyphs ever found.

A team from Vanderbilt University examined the glyphs in northern Guatemala. They tell a 60-year war between two Mayan rulers that scholars believe sparked great developments but also led to the decline of the Mayan empire.
