Five Indian candidates are seeking a seat on a Montana county commission, thanks to a federal judge's ruling that found Native voting rights had been violated.

The candidates are all Democrats. They are seeking a seat for a special district created in Blaine County.

The district is about 90 percent Indian and encompasses the Fort Belknap Reservation.
