Court asked to halt Pueblo water use

The state of New Mexico filed a motion in federal court on Thursday to limit Pojoaque Pueblo's water use.

The state alleges the tribe uses and diverts more than its fair share for economic development and irrigation purposes. The court is being asked to limit use to 201 acre-feet and diversion to 363 acre-feet.
