Mont. tribes awarded HUD grants

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 13, 2002 The Department of Housing and Urban Development has awarded more than $3 million to Montana tribes to promote economic development and affordable housing. The tribes will receive Indian Community Development Block Grants. They are: Blackfeet Tribe, $800,000; Chippewa Cree Tribe, $800,000; Northern Cheyenne Tribe, $749,549; and the Salish and Kootenai Tribes, $800,000. Get the Story:
