Parade highlights tribal rescue effort

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2002 The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut will participate in parade to recognize the rescue efforts a tribal business played during the September 11 terrorist attacks. The tribe's ferries, which are the fastest in the world, helped rescue persons from lower Manhattan that day. A "Parade of Rescue Boats" on Saturday will honor those who died during the attack.
