Tribal embezzlement probe dropped

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 4, 2002 Red Cliff Ojibwe chairman Ray DePerry is disappointed that the Department of Justice is dropping further investigation into embezzlement of tribal funds. Two former officials have already been convicted of stealing from the Wisconsin tribe. The U.S. Attorney's office won't seek additional indictments. DePerry says the tribe will meet to consider its options. Get the Story:
