Norton to name gaming commissioners

Secretary of Interior Gale Norton will announce the names of new National Indian Gaming Commission members, a spokesperson said.

Norton has the power to name two commissioners. The president must name the chairman, the third NIGC member.

The names of the commissioners will be published in the Federal Register.

Chairman Montie Deer is leaving his post. Former Commissioner Liz Homer left this summer. Teresa Poust, another commissioner, is also departing.
