TUESDAY, AUGUST 27, 2002 Tribal politics are hurting agribusiness on the Navajo Nation at a time of potential growth, The Farmington Daily-Times says in an editorial today. The paper cites the recent resignation of two board members of the Navajo Agriculture Products Industries, the Navajo Nations agriculture venture. The members said they left because they felt unwelcome. "The Navajo Nation Council and the president should do what is possible to allow NAPI to run as an independent agency and remove politics from the board room and the farm's operations," the paper writes.
