A coalition of Native artists representing 38 tribes wants to create a multi-cultural mural in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

But the Oklahoma City Arts Commission doesn't like the idea. At a meeting on Monday, the committee said the project wasn't multi-cultural enough and would not have not been pleasing to the eye.

The Native artists want to pay tribute to all cultures. Of the 140 murals, one would be dedicated to Sac and Fox tribal member and Olympian Jim Thorpe.

The Bricktown Urban Design Committee has final say over the proposal.
