Column: N.Y. man faked Indian ancestry

TUESDAY, AUGUST 20, 2002 A New York man forged his birth certificate and a state census document to try and prove he is Indian, Steve Israel of The Middletown Times Herald-Record reports in his column "Casino Confidential." Ron "Chief Golden Eagle" Roberts sent the documents to the Bureau of Indian Affairs. He has been indicted for forging the information. Roberts has also been charged with credit card fraud in an unrelated case. Get the Story:
